Post 13, Something Wicker This Way Comes

The longer I live in this apartment, the more I wonder who the actual owners are. They live in Italy ("Wlochy"), and rent the apartment to unsuspecting foreigners. They paint the ceilings of rooms, and leave the walls white. They have cacti, and an overabundance of china. Above all, they cannot imagine a room fully decorated without wicker. Wicker wicker everywhere.

Are they the oddly stiff looking people in these two photographs?

Or these two photographs?

Who left $80.00 in a mug in the cabinet?

Was it the Wlochy couple? Or perhaps the American who lived here before me? Was it in reparation for the ridiculous scrawls on the wall?

Were they made by the American's daughter? Or does the Wlochy couple also have children?

Clearly, like all Poles, they're worried about getting sick.

No wonder, since the knick-knacks they keep around collect and create huge amounts of dust.

And what an odd habit to keep your spice cabinet behind your clock! It's been very inconvenient for me.
